Jon Hazilla

      Jon Hazilla has performed and/or recorded with, Jo Anne Brackeen, James Williams, John Hicks, Billy Taylor, Ray Drummond, Ron Carter, George Garzone, Benny Golson, Billy Pierce, Larry Coryell, Sheila Jordan, and Max Roach. He continues to perform in countless global jazz festivals from The Azores to Costa Rica, Warsaw, Rome, Nice and Kyoto to name a few. He graduated from New England Conservatory Of Music with a Bachelor of Music, and was a recipient of a National Endowment Award in 1987.
     He has produced four CD's as a leader. His fifth CD, "Tiny Capers" will be released summer 2001. In addition, he has recorded many more as a sideman. His first publication "Mastering The Art Of Brushes" was recently published for Hal Leonard.
      Jon has been an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory Of Music for thirteen years and most recently joined the faculty at Boston Conservatory.
      Jon's natural gift for teaching keeps him in high demand in and around Boston and worldwide.
